Autumn 2008

Welcome to Autumn, everyone! Today is the official start of the fall season. The weather is following suit with cool breezes, cloudy periods, and rain. In early September we had some nice warm weather, but it doesn't seem to be lasting late into the year as many people were probably hoping.

Hope you all had a great summer, and enjoy the last quarter of the year going into the holiday season.

Here's your turn to participate. Do you have an interesting story from this summer? Do anything fun or different? Post a comment and share it!

Happy first day of Autumn everyone!

We have had a couple of exciting road trips across Canada in the past few months! Canada is a vast and beautiful country!
Lots to see!
With children living in the West & East and in between, we will making a few trips, road or plane, each year! Should be fun!

The summer went by quickly for me, and I am kind of disappointed to see the signs of fall setting in. Even more unfortunate is the lack of really nice fall colors in our area. Unlike some places that have beautiful yellows, oranges, reds, and browns, it seems as though the trees around here just sort of fade away.

On the other hand, I am not a big fan of hot weather, and prefer spring and fall temperatures.

The one thing I really love about fall and winter is that it's the time to make soups, stews, and other hearty food to warm up after coming home from work.

Anyway, we've had a good summer. Did a bit of traveling as you've read on the blog, and of course we've spent a lot of time with Charlotte, watching her through the new baby stage to where she's getting to be a little more aware and interactive.

By next summer, she'll be over a year old and will really be able to enjoy a lot more, like the ducks at the lake. I showed her the ducks a few times, got nice and close up. I'm pretty sure she saw them but I don't think she understood what they were. She seems a lot more interested in shapes and patterns, like looking up at the leaves and sky.

Oh I cannot wait until next summer! It'll be so much fun when Nehemiah understands more of what's goin on!! I already told Alex I'd like to take him to the zoo next year to see all the animals! That'll be a blast! We took him on Saturday...it was fun to take him...but he didnt know what was goin on!

It's fun watching Charlotte "grow up" online....I enjoy lookin at the pics, b/c I know that whatever she is doing, Nehemiah will soon be doin also! :)

Micah (Nicole and Mike's lil boy) will be 9 months old soon, and he's at the fun age where he gets excited about alot of things! Next summer will be fun with him and Nehemiah being able to play with each other! And soon Stephanie's baby will be playing too!! :) Oh the joys of being a parent!!

You have a cutie Natasha and Andrew!
