Members Of The NEXUS Club

After almost three years of border difficulties and avoiding crossing unless absolutely necessary, we now have NEXUS. For those readers who are unfamiliar with the program, it is a way to become a trusted member, allowing access to special lanes at border crossings where you are identified by special cards (huge time savings) and submit import declarations on paper (in some ways this actually seems like more work).

The process of getting the NEXUS cards was actually pretty simple. We enrolled online, and after conditional approval, went to the office just across the border for final processing. And it was quick too, from start to finish was only a few days more than two weeks [individual results may vary].

I certainly look forward to zipping past the lineups the next time we cross the border!

Yay finally! We have it and we love it. Now we have to get one for our little girl and then we are set to go. No excuses to come and see us anymore. hehe

YAY! Welcome to the club! Won't it be great, zooming by those long border line-ups, and remembering the misery that they are all feeling, and being so happy that it's just a memory?!

We can't wait to give our new Nexus cards a try as well!
